| Cost: Fees are based on ability to pay. Everyone is seen regardless of their ability to pay. Payment methods include private insurance, state and federal programs including healthy families, family planning, child health, MediCal, Medicare and private pay. | Special Programs: include breast and cervical cancer control and early detection, minor emergency treatment, family planning, women's health, immunizations, flu shots, pregnancy and new born child care and dental care. |
| Type of care: Comprehensive primary medical care is provided to all ages. Physical examinations are provided for insurance, sports, employment, DMV, camp and school. | |
The Anderson Valley Fire Department provides Emergency rescue, fire and medical assistance 24 hours a day by Emergency Medical Technicians. There are fire stations and EMT's in all four communities providing assistance to any type of medical emergency. The fire department personnel respond to all medical calls to 911. Thirty volunteer firefighters provide this service to the community.
The Anderson Valley Ambulance is staffed by 18 volunteer EMTs and is available 24 hours a day for emergency medical care and transport to the hospital in Ukiah.
Emergency helicopter service is provided by Cal Star which is based at the Ukiah Airport and can be over Anderson Valley in about 10 minutes if weather permits. Because of the remoteness of this area Cal Star is used to transport most critical patents.
